Our Profile
Doing A PhD in Africa (DAPIA) is a nonprofit social investment registered as the Higher Education Leadership Project-Africa in Ghana and The Netherlands. Our goal is to facilitate the doctoral journey for African scholars and enhance the profile of early African scholarship across the continent. The project was founded and is co-directed by Dr. Titilope Ajayi, and co-coordinated by a diverse group of early career African scholars who share a commitment to nurturing more scientific innovation to drive change in African higher educational institutions as well as broader society. Set up in Ghana in early 2017, we have representation and members from across Africa and the diaspora.
